The forensic psychology master's degree program at NYU focuses on the overlap between law and mental health. She learned the importance and unique role that psychology and social sciences plays in the legal field. Tamara also earned academic recognition for her high GPA during this program.

Bachelor's in Psychology

As well as majoring in psychology for her bachelor's degree, Tamara also minored in child and adolescent mental health studies. Her studies during this time, cemented her passion for working with children and helping families heal from divorce, domestic violence and child abuse.

Mediators & Arbitrators of America

This course fulfills the mediation qualification requirements in accordance with §154.071 of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code, and §§6.604 and 153.0071 of the Texas Family Code. The course supplemented and added to Tamara's pre-existing knowledge and experiences in mediation from her service as a guardian ad litem for Travis County.

The SAFE Alliance

The 40 hour sexual assault training program is certified by the Office of the Attorney General in Texas. The SAFE Alliance is a domestic violence non-profit organization, which provides many different avenues and resources for families in the Austin, Texas area.

2017

80 Hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)

This course encompasses a 30 hour grammar and language awareness course and fulfills national and international requirements to teach English to non-native-speaking English learners.
